Truthfulness. Love. Celebration. Perspective.

Big Baby Jesus calls for truthseekers and truthmakers amidst a world based on foundational lies, or incomplete narratives.

A better future for all relies on acknowledging as many perspectives of the past as we can, both the light and the shadows. The mainstream storyline that shunts individuals to the corners of a society reigned by western "truths", persists in our collective consciousness; in the present. In a world that is increasingly faced with environmental and climate changes and imminent social disorder, we ask ourselves, what is it that we can learn from one another and any past occurrences? We see the value in both sides of the story and they shouldn't have to exist at the expense of each other. Truth can only be complete.

Big Baby Jesus explores the evolution of artistic expression - from instinctive, communal origins to its institutionalization through systems of faith, power, and control. What began as tribal gestures and shared knowledge transformed over centuries into commissioned imagery, sanctioned by hierarchy. The exhibition reflects on this arc not through criticism but through reconnection - celebrating art's ability to reawaken our collective memory and bring humanity closer to its roots.

Featuring works by John Alexander, Yung Jake, Joe Lewis, Charles McGill, Angelbert Metoyer, Ross Bleckner, Keith Sonnier and Thomas Houseago, Big Baby Jesus examines the tension between liberation and structure within visual culture.
